This is a once in a lifetime chance to ski some of the worlds lightest and driest powder. The North Island receives huge amounts of snow and this combined with the incredible Japanese food, hot springs and humble culture make it the ultimate ski destination.  Trip is designed for the advanced intermediate through expert Telemark or Alpine Skier in good general fitness and some backcountry experience. The Japan Backcountry Adventure Trip is run in conjunction with International Mountain Adventures  and will be guided by Leslie Ross, from Babes in the Backcountry and Ross Matlock from (IMA).
