Babes in the Backcountry: Community Project:
This winter Babes is working with the local Latino women in Summit County CO to offer access to experiencing the outdoors. It is our goal to empower the female latino community, to inspire each woman to move confidently in her daily life, provide useful and attainable skills that can be taught to their children and to share and celebrate our diverse cultures and to bridge community. The mamacitas de montanas will particpate in several snow shoe outtings, backcountry skills building and cross country ski tours. The winter will culmintate in a hut trip in April to celebrate their participation in the outdoors. For more information, please contact the Babes.
