Q: I have never Telemark Skied before, can I still sign up for a Telemark Clinic? A: Whether it's your first time or you have been Tele skiing for years, our Telemark Workshops are designed to teach you the skills and techniques to help start you off on the right foot or take you to the next level.
Q: Do I have to pay in full? A: Full Payment is required for all one day clinics. A 50% deposit is required for multi day workshops/trips to hold your spot. Your balance is due 60 days prior to the start of the workshop. For International Trips, see individual descriptions for payment information.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept? A: Babes accepts checks or money orders. Credit Card payments can be made through Paypal. See registration pagefor more information on credit card payments.
Q: Can I sign up the day of the clinic? A: Pre-registration is required for all clinics/trips/workshops. To ensure that we have enough staff on hand to provide you with the highest quality experience, we require that you register in advance. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended to reserve your spot. Please call us for extenuating circumstances.
Q: What is your Cancellation Policy? A: Please see cancellation policy on the Registration Infopage.
Q: When will I receive more information on the workshop I am signing up for? A: Once payment is received, you will be emailed a confirmation packet unless other arrangements have been made.
Q: What if I need equipment? A: Information on demo gear available at the workshop, and the names of outdoor shops in the area will be emailed to you in your confirmation packet. Check out our Babes Boutiquepage for a sample equipment list and links to get the gear you need for the workshop.
Q: Carpooling/lodging. What if I need a ride or a place to stay prior to and after the workshop/trip? A: A list of all participants will be emailed along with lodging and transportation information.
Q: How do I know if the workshop/trip is appropriate for my ability or fitness level? A: Please email us or call us with any questions or concerns. We would be happy to find you the appropriate workshop/trip for your ability level and talk to you about any concerns you may have.
Q: How old do I have to be to participate? A: All women/girls are welcome. For overnight/multi-day workshops, women under age 21 must be accompanied by a legal guardian/chaperone.
Q: Am I too old to participate? A: We do not put an age limit on participation. We just ask that all women joining us be in good general fitness. We can help you find a trip/workshop appropriate for your fitness level and interests.
Q: What do I need to do to prepare for the workshop? A: More information will be sent to you upon receipt of payment including a trip specific gear list, workshop details and any preparation required (physical fitness or required reading).
Q: I am not a skier/snowboarder, can I still join the backcountry clinics/trips? A: Definitely. Check out our Snowshoe specific backcountry workshops and hut trips.
Q: I don't have my own equipment. Can I still participate? A: Definitely, most clinics have demo gear available at no additional cost to you. See individual workshop descriptions for details.
Q: What if I have specific dietary needs? A: Not a problem. Just contact us in advance to make arrangements.
Q: What if I have to leave early? A: For day clinics at ski areas, you are free to leave when you need to. For overnight or backcountry workshops, we will start and end together as a group. Please call us with any concerns you may have about the workshop schedule and your personal needs. |
