Below are several suggested packing lists to provide a general sense of what you will need for your time with the Babes. Upon registration, you will receive a packing list specifc to your trip.  You can also reference specific workshops descriptions for items required. Babes has many of these items available for demo or for a nominal rental fee.  Additional items can be purchased through patagonia.com or backcountry.com.  All particpants will receive an online shopping discount code upon registering for both locations.
 
 
*Don't forget the basics: equipment specific for your trip, personal snacks, water, sunlgasses, sunscreen, sun and warm hat, gloves, warm layers, foul weather gear, camera, extra cash/credit card, small notebook, pen/pencil and of course most importantly....a great attitude.
 
Summer:
 
 Mountain Bike Clinics:
  • mountain bike-( suspension preferred- rentals available by advance reservation)
  • bike shoes/socks
  • water bottle
  • hydration backpack
  • warm layers
  • rain gear- top and bottom
  • bike gloves
  • sack lunch ( for day clinics)
Multi Day Mt Bike Trips:
  • All of the above plus
  • apres trails clothing (location dependent)
  • bathing suit/towel
  • personal/overnight items ( location dependent)
 
Winter/Snow Related Trips:
 
Single Day Clinics and Guided tours:
  • daypack: 26-40 lt.
  • headlamp/extra batteries
  • ski/snowboard equipment : (Telemark, Alpine Touring skis or split board or snow shoes)
  • Telermark, Alpine Touring or Snowboard boots
  • climbing skins
  • adjustable ski poles
  • avalanche transceiver (457 kHz only)
  • avalanche shovel
  • probe pole
  • personal repair kit/first aid kit/note book
  • warm outdoor clothes (layers)-shell jacket and pants
  • ski socks (no cotton)
  • thermals top and bottom (no cotton)
  • Insulation layers- fleece jacket or sweater
  • warm hat
  • sun hat/visor 
  • Goggles and sunglasses
  • heavy gloves and light weight gloves  
  • food/snacks: See workshop description for what is included.
  • water for the trail-water bottle and water hydration system
  • thermos with hot beverage

 

 
Multi Day Backcountry Workshops
  • all the above from the single day trips plus
  • backpack-size dependent on if gear will be transported to the cabin
  • overnight pack ( 2500 and up)
  • 1 extra pair of ski socks (no cotton)
  • 1 extra pair of thermals top and bottom (no cotton)
  • hut slippers (or shoes for the hut)
  • hut clothes to hang out inside 
  • sauna attire- bathing suit optional, towel
  • beverages of choice for the evenings
  • fun flair
