*Jani Osbourne ~ Yoga
Jani seems more interested in offering students the possibility of finding their own way than in arguing about the strict definition of yoga. "Anything that is alive has to keep changing and keep evolving, and it's the same for yoga," she says. "The essence remains the same, but it has to keep coming out in different forms with each person who teaches it and with each generation. You learn from the past, but only if it nourishes the future." Many say yoga finally came alive when they walked into Jani's class and had a big "Aha!" about what yoga is really all about. Her approach is described as open, playful, fluid, and empowering to self. Everyone's body has different limitations and challenges. Jani enjoys working with these to help students find their path in yoga. Not everyone will be able to get their foot behind their head, but they will be able to participate to their fullest and witness the continual change in their mind and body. Jani teaches several yoga classes in N. Lake Tahoe.
